Seminar 25 May 2013: Reading universally (Melb.)

This morning seminar is for primary & secondary teacher librarians & others who are responsible for school library services and/or engaging students in reading & developing a love of literature. Author Scot Gardner, will speak about his motivations as a writer, his experiences working regularly with students, current writing projects & how his writing is being influenced by current trends & changes such as eBooks.  Publisher (and author), Jane Godwin,  will also talk about current trends in publishing for adult & children’s fiction & non-fiction, the impact of eBooks & possible scenarios for the future. This will be followed by workshops that will explore this year’s CBCA theme, Reading across the universe.

Location and time: St. Bede’s College, Mentone. 9am-1pm (registration opens at 8:30am).
